Aerospace event Hamburg

This start-up visit is an excellent opportunity

“Solving global challenges together” reflects the Dutch government’s recognition that working together is essential in this complex world. Teamwork has never been more important in organizations than it is today, so why not also team up with partners from abroad? With many great innovations from both Germany and the Netherlands we can significantly contribute to making the aerospace industry more sustainable.

This aviation event is an excellent opportunity to bring together German and Dutch stakeholders to jointly seek synergies and cooperation to take sustainable aviation to the next level.

Aviation in the Netherlands

The Dutch economy and prosperity are inextricably linked to aviation. A small country with a strong international orientation and a well-developed level of knowledge, the Netherlands has a strong aircraft industry that supplies products for almost all aircraft currently flying and being built.

In the context of the climate objectives, aviation faces enormous challenges in becoming more sustainable. For this reason, stakeholders have teamed up to make the Netherlands a frontrunner, with a focus on making aviation smarter, cleaner and quieter. Dutch startups and companies are an essential link in finding a balance between sustainability, accessibility and affordability. Innovation, technological developments and cooperation are the key concepts here.

Aviation in Hamburg

Hamburg is the third-largest civil aviation site in the world, with more than 40,000 highly-qualified employees, 300 companies and institutions, and way over 100 years of tradition. With an internationally awarded network forming a powerful alliance of Hamburg based business, science, education and politics.

ZAL TechCenter

The fundamental idea of the ZAL TechCenter is to establish an international platform for aviation research under one roof. Since its opening in 2016, the research center provides around 600 workspaces distributed across hangars, laboratories and offices for partners from academia and industry. Modern research infrastructure coupled with various event formats for knowledge transfer and networking round off the TechCenter’s services.
